About Us
Memorial United Methodist Church in Bolton
The Memorial United Methodist Church has always been a moving force in the town of Bolton. Through the years, its members have focused their attentions, not only on their own spiritual needs, but the needs of the entire community.
Bolton is a unique town with a unique history. Situated in the middle of Hinds County, many of our members have chosen to raise their families here and enjoy small town Mississippi.
“For by our love of God, your love to your neighbor is acquired; and by your love to your neighbor, your love of God is nourished.”
Our Church and Ministries
We offer ministry opportunities for people of all ages and all walks of life.
OUR PASTOR
Matthew Hall
I’ve been serving Memorial UMC since July of 2022. Prior to this appointment, I served as pastor of the Benton/Midway charge (close to Yazoo City) and as an associate pastor of St. Matthews in Madison. I grew up as a pastor’s kid; my dad was a United Methodist pastor in Pennsylvania. I first came to Mississippi to work with an inner city ministry in Jackson called Voice of Calvary Ministries. In the 15 years since, God has refined my called into pastoral ministry. I attended Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson and have now served as a United Methodist pastor for over 7 years. My wife Jessica and I have been married for over 8 wonderful years; we have three beautiful girls who keep up busy constantly! We love our life and glad to be serving the wonderful people of Bolton.
